Major alterations and additions to a difficult site positioned on Forty Baskets Beach in Balgowlah Heights.

The brief is to produce an architecturally designed and highly detailed modern waterfront home that maximise the view across North Harbour to Manly.

The existing house was completely stripped out and due to structural issues, a top-to-bottom re-build was required. The inclusion of a lift is a feature of the renovation ensuring the clients can reside at the premises well into their senior years.

Excavation machinery could not be used on the site due to difficult access as such excavation has been carried out by hand and a conveyor belt was constructed to move debris from the bottom of the site to the top for removal.

The beach home exudes modern appeal with clean lines that have been created with meticulous craftsmanship.
Bespoke glass balustrades emerge from tiles facilitating uninterrupted water views.

Sophisticated Vitrocsa sliding doors have been installed throughout the home promoting indoor/outdoor living.
Black butt floorboards soften the interior of the home and bring warmth to family living. Oversized tiles with a book-matched pattern have been used in the bathrooms and exude opulence.

A cathedral ceiling in the sitting room to the master bedrooms offers a striking entrance.
The home features; five bedrooms, four bathrooms, home gym and sauna.

The best is yet to come at this home as the outdoor kitchen, coy fish tank and water feature that doubles as a heated children’s wading pool are constructed. Due for completion March 2024.
